ACADEMIC SUPPORT OVERVIEW
Here at Princeton there are many people available to help you with academics. Many of your more routine academic questions can be answered by your professor and by your assigned faculty adviser. As a freshmen and sophomore you are assigned a faculty advisor who is chosen from among Whitman College’s outstanding faculty fellows. You also have access to peer advisers chosen from among the juniors and seniors in the College. As a junior and senior you have an adviser within your major, but you are also encouraged to make use of the faculty fellows that are part of Whitman. Resident Graduate Students, or RGSs, are another good sources of academic support here, and they live right in the College alongside you.

Within the College office, Dean Graves-Bayazitoglu and Dr. Crittenden are here to help you with any of your academic questions or concerns. They can help you with administrative procedures, explain university policies, and in extraordinary circumstances approve extensions (see Forms and Procedures). If you are struggling in a course and feel that one-on-one tutoring may be appropriate, they can help with that, as well. You can stop by the office or call 8-8900 to make an appointment to see either one of them. You can also email the college secretary Sara Krause at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
